This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 9926-1 : 1990`Cranes - Training of drivers - Part 1 : General, issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of theCranes, Lifting Chains and Its Related Equipment SectionalCommittee (HMD 14) and approval of the Heavy Mechanical EngineeringDivision Council.

This standard is being published in five parts. Other parts ofthis standard are as follows:
