1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements and methods ofsampling and test of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer for themanufacture of plastic items used in contact with foodstuffs,pharmaceuticals and drinking water.

1.2 This standard does not purport to establish the suitabilityof the packing media with particular foodstuffs, pharmaceuticalsand drinking water, from other than toxicological considerations.
