1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements for electricalspeedometer used in automotive systems working on 6 V/12 V/24 Vpower source. It combines also the rate of distance travelled perunit time measurement.

1.2 The mechanical type of speedometers are covered in IS 11086: 1984.
