IS 13655 : 1993 Guidelines for Heat Treatment of Cast Iron

1 Scope

This standard covers the method of heat treatment for This typesof cast iron.

a) Cast iron (other than Austenitic) - Unalloyed and alloyed

i) Grey iron,

ii) Ductile iron, and

iii) Malleable iron.

b) Austenitic cast iron

i) Flake graphite (AFG), and

ii) Spheroidal graphite (ASG).

The methods prescribed are general guidelines and there may bevariation according to the practice and equipment available.
