This Indian Standard (Part 17) (Fifth Revision) which is identical with ISO 3269 : 2019 ‘Fasteners - Acceptance inspection’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the General Engineering and Fasteners Standards Sectional Committee and approval of the Production Engineering Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 1961 and subsequently revised in 1967, 1979, 1996 and 2000. Third revision of this standard was identical with ISO 3269 : 1988. Fourth revision of this standard was identical with ISO 3269 : 2000. The fifth revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 3269 : 2019.
