NATIONAL FOREWORD

This standard (Part 27/Sec 3) which is identical to IEC 60317-27-3 : 2019 + AMD 1 : 2024 CSV 'Specifications for particular types of winding wires Part 27-3 : Paper tape covered rectangular copper wire' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Winding Wire Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

IS 13730 (Part 27) was first published in 1996 and was based on IEC 60317-27. The first revision of above mentioned standard was published in 2018 was largely based on IEC 60317-27 : 2013. IEC 60317-27 : 2013 was withdrawn and replaced by IEC 60317-27-3 : 2019. This superseding is being done to align it with the latest version of IEC 60317-27-3 : 2019 + AMD 1 : 2024 CSV. With the publication of this standard IS 13730 (Part 27) : 2018 stands withdrawn.
