NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 27/Sec 4) which is identical to IEC 60317-27-4 : 2020 + AMD 1 : 2024 CSV 'Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 27-4: Paper tape covered rectangular aluminum wire' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Winding Wire Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard supersedes IS 6162 (Part 2) : 1971 'Specification for paper covered aluminium conductors: Part 2 rectangular conductors'.
