This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 317-29 : 1990Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 29 :Polyester or polyesteremide overcoated with polyamide-imideenamelled rectangular copper wire, class 200, issued by theInternational Electrotechnical Commission was adopted by the Bureauof Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Winding WiresSectional Committee, ET33 and approval of the ElectrotechnicalDivision Council.

This standard specifies the requirements of enamelledrectangular copper winding wire of class 200 with a dual coating.The underlying coating is based on polyester or polyesterimideresin, which may be modified providing it retains the chemicalidentity of the original resin and meets all specified wirerequirements. The superimposed coating is based on polyamide-imideresin.
