NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 57) which is identical to IEC 60317-57 : 2010 + AMD 1 : 2024 'Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 57: Polyamide-imide enamelled round copper wire, class 220' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Winding Wire Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

IS 13730 (Part 26) was first published in 1996 and was based on IEC 60317-26 : 1990. IEC 60317-26 was withdrawn and replaced by IEC 60317-57 : 2010 This adoption is being done to align it with the latest version of IEC 60317-57 with the publication of this standard, IS 13730 (Part 26) : 1996 stands withdrawn.
