IS 13749 : 2009 Automotive Vehicles - Procedure for Determination of the H Point and the Torso Angele for 50th Percentile Adult Male in Seating Positions of Motor Vehicles

1 Scope

The procedure described is used to establish the �H�point location and the torso angle for one or severalseating positions in a motor vehicle for a 50th percentileadult male and to verify the relationship of measureddata to design specifications given by the vehiclemanufacturer.

Note - In any seating position other than front seats wherethe �H�point cannot be determined wing the "Three dimensional�H� point machine" or procedures� the �R� point indicated bythe manufacturer may be taken as a reference at the discretionof the competent authority.
