NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 62387 : 2020 ‘Radiation protection instrumentation - Dosimetry systems with integrating passive detectors for individual, workplace and environmental monitoring of photon and beta radiation’ issued by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Electronic Measuring Instruments, Systems and Accessories Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1993 and was identical with IEC 61066 : 1991. This IEC standard has been withdrawn and replaced by IEC 62387 : 2020. The first revision of this Indian standard has been undertaken to align with latest publication of IEC 62387 : 2020.
