This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 7574-1: 1985 `Acoustics - Statistical methods for determining andverifying stated noise emission values of machinery and equipment -Part 1 : General considerations and definitions' issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of theAcoustics Sectional Committee (LTD 5) and approval of theElectronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
