1. SCOPE

This standard specifies the requirements for wheel guards for vehicles of category M1 as defined in IS 14272 for use on road, having at least four wheels and a maximum design speed exceeding 25 km/h.

Further, at the request of manufacturer, this standard may be applied to the vehicles of categories of N1 and N2 up to 7.5 tonne as defined in IS 14272.
