1 Scope

This standard (Part 2) covers the method of determination ofrock stress from measurement of changes in (diameter) deformationof a drillhole during overcoming. The elastic properties of therock and the deformation measurements are combined to calculate thestresses in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the drillhole.
