1 Scope

1.1 This standard deals with the physical characteristics andproperties of optical glass, the defects and faults often comeacross in the material, the methods of test employed for theirlocation, grading of optical glass according to the degree ofpermissibility of these common defects for different types of work,and the methods of marking and packing of the material.
