IS 1415 : 1966 Electric hand lamps

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements and methods of testsfor electric portable hand-lamps for use on supply voltages notexceeding 250 volts single phase ac or dc, and suitable for usewith lamps having wattages not exceeding 150 W.

1.1.1 Special types of hand-lamps like flameproof, gastight,watertight or dustproof hand-lamps are excluded from the scope ofthis standard.

1.1.2 This standard does not also cover portable lampstands andbrackets.
