1 Scope
1.1 This Code of practice prescribes for application and finishing ofthermal insulation materials applied to surfaces at temperatures above-80°C and up to 750°C.
1.2 In cases where metal surfaces are protected on their inner faces withstructural boundary materials, such as refractory brickwork or otherlinings, the temperatures of which change as result of the application ofexternal thermal insulation, consequently change in metal temperatureshall be checked against safe design temperature limits.
