This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 1015(1990), issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission,was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendationof the Rotating Machinery Sectional Committee (ET 15) andapproval-of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable forpublication as Indian Standard without deviations.
