NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 15) which is identical with ISO/IEC 7816-15 : 2016 ‘Identification cards - Integrated circuit cards - Part 15: Cryptographic information application’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) jointly was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Identification and Data Capture Techniques, Cards and Security Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
