This standard

- applies to all broadband amplifiers used in cableddistribution systems.

- covers the frequency range 5 MHz to 1750 MHz.

- applies to one-way and two-way equipment.

- lays down the basic methods of measurement of the operationalcharacteristics of the active components in order to assess theperformance of these components.

- identifies the guaranteed performance specifications thatshall be published by the manufacturers.

- states the minimum guaranteed performance requirements - ofcertain parameters.
