1 Scope

This Indian Standard specifies general requirements forpyrotechnic signals used for ships, life boats and life rafts atthe time of distress. Its function conform to the signal equipmentstandard for the seagoing vessels, SOLAS Convention (1974) andEntertainment regulations for Preventing Collision at sea (1972).
