1 Scope

This standard (Part 3) specifies sizes, materials and tests forred star rocket signal for use in ships when they are in distressand need help, by the rescue stations or Marine emergency serviceunits to guide those in distress ships, distress boats and rafts toland. Its performance conforms to stipulations of SOLAS convention1974 and International Marine regulations for preventing collisionsat sea, 1972.
