1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the recommendations on material,equipment and general workmanship for the manual tungsten inertgasarc welding of nickel and nickel alloys. The recommendations areprimarily intended for general engineering applications for manualwelding of nickel and nickel alloys with argon as the shieldinggas.

1.2 This standard is not applicable for welding of tubes andpipes, and does not stipulate the allowable stresses in welds.
