1 Scope

This standard specifies safety and hygiene requirements for themanufacture of bakery and pastry mixers. This standard applies todough mixers with rotating bowls.

This machines are excluded:

- continuously fed machines,

- mixers with stationary vertical bowls,

- experimental and testing machines, and

- domestic appliances.

These machines are sometimes used in other industries (forexample pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, printing,...),but hazards related to these uses are not considered in thisstandard.
