IS 1441 : 1989 Insulator stalks for telegraph and telephone lines

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements and tests for Thistypes of insulator stalks intended for use on telegraph andtelephone lines:

a) Stalk, telegraph;

b) Stalk, telephone;

c) Stalk, swan neck, long;

d) Stalk, swan neck, short;

e) `J-Stalk;

f) Bracket attachment terminal, single; and

g) Bracket attachment terminal, double.

1.2 The requirements of porcelain insulators for telegraph andtelephone lines are covered in IS 283 : 1976 `Specification forporcelain insulators for telegraph and telephone lines (thirdrevision ).
