IS 14437 : 1997 Method for determination of quinalphos residues in agricultural and food commodities

1 Scope

This standard prescribes a gas chromatographic method fordetermination of residues of quinalphos [O, O -diethylO-quinoxalin-2-y1 phosphorothioate], and its 2 metabolites, namelythe P = O analog [o,o-diethyl o-(2-quinoxalinyl)-phosphate] and2-hydroxyquinoxaline in agricultural and food commodities.

Note - This method has a detection limit lower than of 0.05 �g/g (0.05ppm) using the thermionic NP specific detectorfor all the 3 compounds and lower than 0.01 �g/g(0.01 ppm) using the alkali flame ionization detector forquinalphos and the P = 0 along.
