IS 14458 : Part 8 : 2025 Retaining Wall for Hill Area - Guidelines - Part 8 Design of Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) Retaining Walls

1 SCOPE

This standard (Part 8) deals with the design of RCC retaining wall which include L-Type, reverse L-Type, inverted T-Type, reverse inverted T-Type, counterfort and buttressed retaining walls. This standard mainly focuses on the design criteria of RCC retaining walls, which are used to support earth or other materials behind them, which would otherwise not stay in that position.
