ICS 33.100; 47.020.60 ETD 20
Reaffirmed 2017

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down general principles and practicalinstallation measures to be taken in order to obtain a certainrequired grade of electromagnetic compatibility from 10 kHz to 30kHz for all electrical and electronic equipment intended to operatein a ships electromagnetic environment. It also lays down standardmethods for measurement and testing and certain standardrequirements. Higher range of frequency is under consideration.

1.2 This standard applies to electrical and electronic equipmentand installations in ships, more specifically to interferencesuppression apply to components intended for use at voltageexceeding 500 V (dc or ac) between conductors or 250 V (dC) or 290V (aC, rms) between one conductor and earth. It does not apply tocomponents intended for use at frequencies exceeding 400 Hz.
