1 Scope

1.1 This method is used to evaluate the oxidation stability ofinhibited steam-turbine oils in the presence of oxygen, water, andcopper and iron metals at an elevated temperature. The method maybe used for testing other oils having a specific gravity less thanthat of water and containing rust and oxidation inhibitors.
