FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 178) which is identical with ISO 6271 : 2015 —Clear liquids — Estimation of colour by the platinum cobalt colour scale’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Methods of Sampling and Test for Petroleum, its Products, Gaseous Fuels and Lubricants Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
