This Indian Standard (Part 60) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 2137 : 2020 ‘Petroleum products and lubricants - Determination of cone penetration of lubricating greases and petrolatum’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods for Sampling and Test for Petroleum and Related Products of Natural or Synthetic Origin (Excluding Bitumen) Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
This standard was first published in 1967 based on the joint publication ASTM D217-60T and IP 50/64 T and subsequently revised in 1971 and 1994.
