IS 1448 : Part 7 : 2004 Methods of Test for Petroleum and its Products - Part 7 : Determination of Calorific Value by Calculation

1 Scope

1.1 This method is intended for the determination of thecalorific value, gross or net, of petroleum fuels by calculationfrom the fuel density, sulphur, water and ash content.

1.2 This method shall be used only as a routine alternate methodfor the quick estimation of calorific value, and for accuratedetermination and in case of dispute the method prescribed in IS1448 : Part 6 shall be adopted.
