1 Scope

1.1 This standard describes a procedure for the determination ofvanadium in the range of up to and including 350 ppm in heavypetroleum products, such as residual fuel oils. Other elementscommonly found in Navy special fuel oils do not interfere.

1.2 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operationsand equipments. This standard does not purport to address all thesafety problem associated with its use.
