NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 61543 : 2022 ‘Residual currentoperated protective devices (RCDs) for household and similar use - Electromagnetic compatibility’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Low Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1998 which was identical to IEC 61543 :1995. This revision of IS 14614 has been undertaken to align this standard with the latest international practices.
