This Indian Standard (Part 6) which is identical with ISO 7530-6: 1990 `Nickel alloys - Flame atomic absorption spectrometricanalysis - Part 6 : Determination of manganese content issued bythe International Organization for Standardization (ISO) wasadopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations ofthe Methods of Chemical/Instrumental Analysis of Non-ferrous MetalsSectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical EngineeringDivision Council.

The text of the above mentioned ISO standard has been approvedas suitable for publication as Indian Standard without deviations.Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used inIndian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words `International Standard appear referringto this standard, they should be read as `Indian Standard.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in IndianStandards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as thedecimal marker.
