IS 14671 : 1999 Code of practice for instalation and maintenance of hydraulic lifts

1 Scope

This standard deals with hydraulic lifts, where the car isdirectly or indirectly driven by the action of one or morehydraulic jacks and whereby the down movement even with the emptycar, takes places due to gravitational force.

The standard is intended to assist potential users andmanufacturers of hydraulic lifts who are already familiar withelectric lifts complying with existing Indian Standards (IS 1860,IS 4666, etc) and in order to maximize the number of componentscommon to both types of lifts.
