This Indian Standard (Part 4/Sec 7) which is identical with IEC 61000-4-7 : 2009 ‘Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-7: Testing and measurement techniques General guide on harmonics and interharmonics measurements and instrumentation, for power supply systems and equipment connected thereto’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard (Part 4/ Sec 7) is the First Revision of IS 14700(Part 4/Sec 7) : 2006. This standard was published based on IEC 61000 - 4-7 (2002). This standard (Part 4 / Sec 7) has been revised to align it with the latest edition of IEC 61000 - 4-7 (2009). This standard (Part 4/ Sec 7) is one of the parts of a series of standards on ‘Electromagnetic Compatibility’.
