IS 1474 : 1959 SPECIFICATION FOR COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATORS

1 Scope

1.1 This standard Prescribes the general constructionrequirements of refrigerating cabinets within the range of 350 to 3000 litres (or 12 to 106 ft³) net internal volume,and operated by an electrically-driven refrigerating machine of thevapour compression type. The methods of carrying out tests onrefrigerators are also specified. The limits of internal andambient temperatures covered by this standard are:

Internal cabinet temperature -20°C to+5°C (or -5F to +40°F)

Ambienttemperature+43°C (or +110°F)
