1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 1) specifies rapid methods that are normally required for assessing the quality of raw milk supplies intended for processing and manufacture. The specific test(s) to be employed would depend upon the purpose of the analysis.

1.2 This standard does not include such methods of chemical and bacteriological analysis as are used for the detailed examination of milk.
