NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 12129-1 : 2019 ‘Plain bearings - Tolerances - Part 1: Fits’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Bearings Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2000 based on ISO 12129-1 : 1995 ‘Plain bearings - Part 1: Fits ’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 12129-1 : 2019.
