This Indian Standard, which is identical with ISO 6654 : 1991`Animal feeding stuffs - Determination of urea content' issued bythe International Organization for Standardization (ISO) wasadopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation ofthe Livestock Feeds Sectional Committee and approval of the Foodand Agriculture Division Council.

Method of test for determination of moisture content was covered in 6 of IS 7874 (Part 1); after publication of this Indian Standard the above referred clause of 1S 7874 (Part 1) will be deleted through amendment.

In this adopted standard, certain terminology and conventions are not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is drawn specially to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
