This Indian Standard (Part 1) (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 3166-1 : 2013 ‘Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions — Part 1: Country codes’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Documentation and Information Sectional Committee and approval of the Management and Systems Division Council.
