IS 14896 : 2001 Personal Computer - Specification

1 Scope

This standard covers the general and performance requirements ofthe personal computer. Personal computer covered by this standardmay comprise of the following:

a) Personal computer module comprising of central processingunit (CPU), memory and various interfaces;

b) Switch mode power supply (SMPS) unit;

c) Keyboard (integral/detachable); and

d) Floppy disk drive, hard disk drive and other secondarystorage devices as per configuration supplied by manufacturer.
