NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 61084-1: 2017 'Cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems for electrical installations — Part 1: General requirements' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Wiring Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2001. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with latest version of IEC 61084-1 to make pace with the latest development that have taken place at international level.
