This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 9996 : 1996`Mechanical vibration and shock - Disturbance to human activity andperformance - Classification' issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendations of the Mechanical Vibrationand Shock Sectional Committee and approval of the MechanicalEngineering Division Council.
