National Foreword
This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 1219 : 1993(renumbered as IEC 61219) `Live working - Earthing or earthing andshort-circuiting equipment using lances as a short-circuitingdevice - Lance earthing' issued by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards on the recommendation of the Tools and Equipment for LiveWorking Sectional Committee (ET 36) and approval of theElectrotechnical Division Council.
