1.1 This standard describes the properties of methyl acrylateand ethyl acrylate, nature of hazards associated with it, safetymeasures for controlling hazards, essential information on symptomsof poisoning, first aid, medical treatment, storage, handling,labelling and employees safety.

1.2 This standard does not however deal with specifications fordesign of buildings, chemical engineering paints, method andingredients used in the manufacture, equipment for waste disposaland operation control.
