IS 1503 : 1988 Wooden packing cases

1 Scope

Covers the requirements of wooden packing cases for general usefor packaging of contents of mass up to 250 kg.

1.1 This standard does not cover the requirements of woodenpacking cases intended for the packaging of larger and heavieritems, such as engines, generating sets and machinery which areusually mounted on and securely fastened to skid type bases. Thisstandard also does not cover the requirements of wooden packingcases intended for packing military ammunition and explosives.
