This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 6150 : 2018 'Pneumatic fluid power - Cylindrical quick-action couplings for maximum working pressures of 1 MPa, 1.6 MPa, and 2.5 MPa (10 bar, 16 bar and 25 bar) - Plug connecting dimensions, specifications, application guidelines and testing' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fluid Power Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
This standard was first published in 2002 by adoption of ISO 6150 : 1988. This revision has been brought out to align it with the latest version of ISO 6150. In this revision, following major changes have been incorporated:
a) References have been updated; and
b) Minor editorial changes have been made.
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
