1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods oftest for the material commercially known as ready mixed paint,brushing, finishing, stoving, enamel, with colour as required. Thematerial is used for the protection and decoration of metal partsof apparatus, equipment, machines, etc, and is normally applied asa painting system over the appropriate priming and undercoatingpaints.

1.2 This standard is intended chiefly to cover the technicalprovisions relating to the purchase of the material, but it doesnot include all the necessary provisions of a contract.
